PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve torque, horsepower and fuel consumption by reforming air by a magnetic field. SOLUTION: This engine performance improving device 1 attached to an air cleaner includes a connecting tube 11 fixed to the air cleaner, a suction pipe 9 fixed to the connecting tube 11, and magnetic portions 15a, 15b arranged oppositely to the periphery of the suction pipe 9. The cross-sectional area of the hole of the intermediate portion of the suction pipe 9 is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the hole of each end portion. Each of the magnetic portions 15a, 15b is composed of juxtaposed magnetic bodies 5a, 5b and one magnetic body 3 brought into contact with the magnetic bodies. When one of the magnetic portions has an N pole on the side of the suction pipe, the other thereof has an S pole on the side of the suction pipe. Since various complicated magnetic fields are formed by the magnetic portions 15a, 15b formed by the combination of magnetic bodies 3, 5 and magnetic force is effectively applied to molecular oxygen flowing in the suction pipe 9, air which accelerates burning can be sent to an engine.
