A method for activating the soil fertility such that prior to performing a technological operation of slotting the diagnostics of a field determining the arithmetic mean index of density of a soil solution flow is carried out, and depending on this index the distance between working elements, in particular slot cutters on a frame of a cultivator is regulated.
