The machine has a device for transfer of imaging layers from a transfer film (9) to a sheet (7). A coating device contains a transfer element, which cooperates with a sheet guiding cylinder. The transfer film is guided in a region of a transfer gap formed between the transfer element and the cylinder. Blowing air is brought during a transfer process between the transfer element and the transfer film in such a manner that the transfer film is pressable by the air against the cylinder. The transfer element is designed as a rotatory drivable transfer cylinder or as a pressing-on wedge.
