A green garbage can is provided to effectively remove bad odor or germs by ultraviolet rays and ozone inside, thereby realizing clean and healthy surroundings. A green garbage can includes an ultra-violet ray lamp(50), a switch(70), and a driving part for the ultraviolet ray lamp. The lamp is mounted on an inner surface of a lid(12) to face the receiving space of a main body to emit ultra-violet rays to the receiving space for sterilization and ozonization. The switch senses the opening or closing state of the lid. The driving part is mounted to the lid for supplying power to the lamp according to a sensing signal output from the switch. |
