An air conditioner is provided to keep oil levels of each compressor properly in a short time while keeping the characteristics of oil balance systems even though oil foaming is generated at the time of initiating the compressors. An air conditioner includes a gas bypass(4), an oil discharge bypass(6), and an oil balance bypass(5). The gas bypass connectes a discharge pipe(8) to a suction pipe(7) via an electronic valve(41) for high or low pressure control and has an inner diameter smaller than that of the discharge pipe. The oil discharge bypass connects an oil balance hole(11) of a variable speed compressor(1), provided in the proximity of the height of a standard oil surface of the variable speed compressor, to an upper part of the electronic valve of the gas bypass. The oil balance bypass connects the oil balance hole(21) of a constant speed compressor(2), provided in the proximity of the height of a standard oil level of the constant speed compressor, to the suction pipe.
