A portable device for providing a location information service, a location information service providing method using the same and a system thereof are provided to store image information collected about a specific place together with location information and map information, thereby easily searching information of a specific space. A camera(140) collects image information. A location information collection module collects location information of a location where the image information is collected. A memory(160) stores a map in which the location information is mapped. A controller(170) produces place information including map information based the location information. The controller stores the place information in the memory. An input unit(120) inputs a title of the place information.
