AN APPARATUS FOR COOLING A ROLL

A roll cooling apparatus is provided to distribute temperature uniformly to a columnar direction by installing a plurality of ring-shaped heat pipe tubes inside a roll. A roll cooling apparatus has a cylindrical shape and a plurality of cooling channels consisting of concave parts on an outer surface. The cooling channels include the followings: a roll axle(110) extended to a ring-shape according to an outer circumference; a roller jacket accommodating the roll axle; and a cooling unit(130) admitted within the cooling channel. The cooling unit is located between an inner circumference of the roller jacket and the concave part.
