<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which an interval between a photoreceptor drum and a developing roller is highly accurately set, and also a drum unit and a developing unit can easily be replaced with inexpensive and simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 equipped with the drum unit 3 and the developing unit 2 separately is equipped with a positioning means 30 positioning the developing roller 2a relative to the photoreceptor drum 3a as follows: a guiding member 31 allowing the developing roller 2a and the photoreceptor drum 3a to maintain a separate state each other through a nearly fixed gap just until attachment of the developing unit 2 is completed, and positioning the developing roller in a close state to the photoreceptor drum 3a when attachment of the developing unit 2 is completed; a pressing mechanism 34 elastically pressing the developing unit 2 toward the photoreceptor drum 3a; and interval regulating members 12 and 22 regulating the interval between the developing roller 2a and the photoreceptor drum 3a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
