PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a servo assist device 10 for an automobile transmission shift device, comprising means 42, 44 on which servo pressure operates and showing a characteristic curve having various gradients or proportional regions relative to manual shift force F<SB>H</SB>depending on the manual shift force F<SB>H</SB>or shift phases, wherein servo assist force generated by the servo assist device is well adaptable to the maximum allowable load of a synchronizer for the transmission.
