PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a rotating electric machine capable of obtaining insulation performance by providing sufficient layered amount of a layered portion formed by laminating both edges of an insulation member. SOLUTION: This rotating electric machine 10 includes a stator core 20 having a plurality of teeth portions 22 and a slot portion 24 formed between adjacent teeth portions 22, a coil part disposed at a slot portion 24, and insulating sheet disposed around the coil portion 40 along an inner wall of the slot portion 24 having the layered portion that is formed by laminating both edges. The layered portions are disposed so as to face the inner wall on the teeth side of the slot portion 24, and the teeth part 22 has a shape of which the width is tapered toward an inner circumference direction from an outer circumference direction of the stator core, and has a recess in which the layered portion is disposed.
