PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel interior monitoring device which can measure other quantities of states such as a traffic volume by effectively using a video of a TV camera for use in monitoring by visual observation. SOLUTION: The tunnel interior monitoring device is formed of the TV camera 1 arranged in a tunnel, for photographing the interior of the tunnel, and a display unit 10 arranged in a monitoring room, for displaying the video photographed by the TV camera, and functions to monitor the interior of the tunnel by using the display unit. The tunnel interior monitoring device is composed of a traffic volume measuring device 9 for analyzing the video photographed by the TV camera to measure the traffic volume, ventilation state measuring instruments 3, 5, 6 for measuring a ventilation state in the tunnel, and a ventilation automatic control device 8 for controlling driving of a ventilation fan for ventilating the interior of the tunnel, based on measured values of the traffic volume measuring device and the ventilation state measuring instruments.
