The sleeve (7) has a teeth ring (5) with inner teeth (2) and an outer mantle surface (6) comprising parallel disks (11). The disks are torque-proofly connected with the teeth ring and arranged at the surface. The surface has circulating grooves (4) provided in an area of a transition between the disk and the ring. The disks are torque-proofly fastened to the ring. The surface provided between the grooves has a raised cylindrical contact surface as a contact (9) for a switching element (10). The grooves are pivoted by a machine cutting manufacturing process. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a sliding sleeve.
