The sensor device has a readings recorder (20) with a sensitive area, which measures the belt system specific data. A drive and a covering element are provided, by which the sensitive area of the readings recorder is covered against the surrounding of the sensitive area. The drive affects a relative motion between the readings recorder and the covering element.
