<p>A system for transfer of video data is provided comprising a source device 300 and a sink device 350. An interface connects source device 300 and the sink device 350 and comprises a detection wire 332 for indicating whether configuration data is made available by the sink 350. The source device 300 comprises means 114 for obtaining at least part of the configuration information from the sink 350 via the interface and a memory for storing the configuration information or part thereof. The source device 300 comprises means 304 for distinguishing between a plurality of different states relating to the sink 350, the plurality of states including a state in which the source 300 is connected to a sink 350 but sink configuration data is not made available.</p> |
