PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide 2-oxoglutarate decarboxylase, a DNA encoding the same, a recombinant vector comprising the DNA, a transformant obtained by using the recombinant vector, a method for producing the 2-oxoglutarate decarboxylase, and a method for measuring 2-oxoglutaric acid.

SOLUTION: The 2-oxoglutarate decarboxylase is composed of an amino acid sequence represented by following (a) or (b): (a) a specific amino acid sequence; (b) an amino acid sequence comprising one or two or more amino acids deleted, substituted or added in the specific amino acid sequence, and having 2-oxoglutarate decarboxylase activity.
