<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for obtaining monolithic refractor having excellent spalling resistance without special additive in the monolithic refractory using alumina cement as a binder. <P>SOLUTION: This construction method includes a series of processing steps of mixing monolithic material containing alumina cement, casting, curing, drying and heating the same.
