PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrant which has a simple structure obtained only by working a part of a lever without working an internal structure of the hydrant at all, which can be constantly opened/closed only by pushing a free end portion of the lever, and which is friendly to a disabled person. SOLUTION: In this lever-type hydrant which can be opened/closed by shifting a valve inside a hydrant body through upward and downward operations of the lever 2 provided at the upper end of the hydrant body A, the lever 2 is integrally extended in the almost symmetrical directions of the hydrant body 1 in a plan view, so as to form a pair of operation portions 2a and 2b.
