PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic conjugate fiber having excellent dyeing clarity, gloss feeling and reversibly changing a crimped form according to change of humidity and water content. SOLUTION: The acrylic conjugate fiber is obtained by bonding components composed of two kinds of copolymers consisting essentially of acrylonitrile having different hydrophilicities side by side. The acrylic conjugate fiber satisfies requirements that the highly hydrophilic component is a highly swellable component composed of an acrylonitrile copolymer made up of 2-5 mass% of a hydrophilic vinyl monomer and 5-8 mass% of a hydrophobic vinyl monomer, the low hydrophilic component is a low swellable component composed of an acrylonitrile copolymer made up of 0.2-1 mass% of a hydrophilic vinyl monomer and 3-7.8 mass% of a hydrophobic vinyl monomer, a crimp elongation is≥2% and a glossiness is≥40%.
