PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating an organic fiber cord with an adhesive, by which the adhesive can be coated in the minimal amount necessary for imparting adhesiveness to rubbers and cord physical properties, thus reducing the consumption of the adhesive and preventing the adhesion of adhesive residues to a dipping machine and the staining of the dipping machine. SOLUTION: This method for treating the organic fiber cord with the adhesive, including coating the organic fiber cord 11 with the adhesive liquid to form the thin film of the adhesive on the surface of the cord, is characterized by making the cord 11 to pass through a closed container 21 in which the fine particles 24 of the adhesive liquid are floated in a mist-like state, thus adhering the fine particles of the adhesive liquid to the surface of the cord.
