PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire suppressing heat generation during travel while maintaining workability, hardness, and breaking elongation balanced in a high level. SOLUTION: The rubber composition includes 100 pts.wt. of diene rubber, 1-20 pts.wt. of liquid rubber having a functional group, 10-70 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler, and 10-60 pts.wt. of carbon black. The total amount of the inorganic filler and the carbon black is 35-80 pts.wt. while a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of the carbon black is 30-90 m<SP>2</SP>/g.
