PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion compensation amplifying apparatus in which there is no risk that a problem occurs in overcurrent protection even when the power is supplied or when the power is reset. SOLUTION: The distortion compensation amplifying apparatus of a type that uses a self-adjusting feed forward circuit to optimize compensation of distortion generated by a main amplifying part is provided with a processing step 300 for determining that the power is supplied or the power is reset before a processing step 301 after obtaining the optimization of distortion compensation by loop processing from a processing step 302 after the processing step 301 to a processing step 304. When the power is supplied or when the power is reset, phase data and amplitude data being a vector adjusting value of the self-adjusting feed forward circuit are set to a value at which current of a main amplifying part can be made to be a minimum value, for example, 0, which suppresses the current of the main amplifying part when the power is supplied or when the power is reset.
