The system has an air dryer (10) arranged in a four-air supply line (4). A solenoid valve (2a) and a valve (18) open and allow transfer of compressed air from the dryer into a pressurizing unit storage container (12) or pressurizing unit chambers (6a-6d) when pressure in the dryer exceeds a minimum pressure during a discharge process of compressed air via a compressor (8) into the container or into the chambers. The valves are arranged in a compressed air line (1) between an outlet of the dryer and the container or the chambers. The valves are designed as regulating or non-regulating valves.
