An air bag device is provided to arrange the curtain air bag at the desired position even when a side window is opened or broken, as the side air bag restricts the movement of the curtain air bag. An air bag device comprises a curtain air bag(5) and a side air bag(7). The curtain air bag is inflated downward from the upper side of a side window(2) along a side surface(3) of a vehicle room. The side air bag is inflated from the lower side of the side window along the side surface of the vehicle room. The inflated side air bag contacts the inflated curtain air bag so as to restrict the movement of the curtain air bag. |
