ACCOUSTIC NOISE REDUCING APPARATUS FOR DISK DRIVE

A noise reducing apparatus for a disk drive is provided to offset noise and remove the noise by causing resonance between specific frequency of the noise generated in the rotation of disc and the air of an air layer and a sound-absorbing hole. Inside a noise reducing apparatus for a disk drive, a tray(40) in which a disc is mounted is equipped. In the tray, a plurality of sound-absorbing holes(46) are formed to cause resonance with specific frequency of the noise generated in the rotation of disc. In the tray, a disk mounting surface(42) in which a disc is mounted is recessed and the sound-absorbing holes are regularly arranged on the disk mounting surface.
