<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard motor capable of easily changing a tilt angle. <P>SOLUTION: Thrust at the time of moving forward is transferred from a thrust receiver (a pressure receiving block 66) to an installing member(an engaging pin 59). When a lower end portion of a propulsion device is pressed backward by a large load, the propulsion device 4 is separated from the thrust receiver, is rotatable about a tilt shaft 52 to a rear side. On the other hand, the installing member (a clamp bracket 41, and a swivel bracket main body 51) and a thrust bracket 64 can be engaged with each other at at least two specified positions along an arc around the tilt shaft 52. An engaging portion 60b wherein a movable engaging member is engaged with either one of the installing member or the thrust bracket 64, and wherein an engaging member is engaged with the other, is provided. A operating mechanism is provided, which acts on the engaging member and switches an engaging state engaging the engaging member with the engaging portion 60a and a engagement releasing state releasing the engagement of the engaging member to the engaging portion 60b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
