<p>The precipitator (1) has a flow channel (3) including a channel wall (4) and a channel interior (5) via which an exhaust gas (P) containing particles flows in a flow direction. The channel has an electrode (6) that is detachable from the channel and extends in the channel interior in the flow direction. The electrode is detachably fastened to the wall via an electrode holder (9) that is in contact with the wall. A safety device (10) prevents the electrode from supplying electrical discharge, during break of contact between the holder and the wall. An independent claim is also included for a method for protection against uncontrolled discharge of an electrode for an electrostatic precipitator.</p> |
