Wiping system for a motor vehicle and assembly procedure

The system has a wiping drive housing fixed at a fixing tube (2) in a form fit and/or friction locked manner using a wedge (14), where circumference contour of the wedge is rectangular in a sectional manner. The wedge is mounted such that the wedge elastically and/or plastically deforms a circumference contour of the circular, contour fixing tube. The wedge extends transverse to a longitudinal extension of the fixing tube in a fixing section and is secured against loosening using locking units. An independent claim is also included for a mounting method for fixing a wiping drive housing of a wiping drive of a wiping system at a fixing tube.
