REINFORCING METHOD FOR HOT TOP FUNCTION OF LARGE STEEL INGOT

A method for reinforcing of a sink head is provided to strength function of a sink head by using heat keeping and heat supplying effect and installing a diaphragm on the top of a mold. A method for reinforcing of a sink head includes a diaphragm(11) capable of blocking ascending air current around a mold, installed on an outer wall of the mold(1). The diaphragm blocking the ascending air current is set up on the height of 50 ~ 95% of mold height. A shape, size and number of the diaphragm are controlled freely.
