A pressing plate for Kimchi container is provided to enable a user to press Kimchi downward in order to minimize the air contact of Kimchi surface and to prevent Kimchi from oxidizing. A pressing plate(100) consists of a bendable plate(10). The bendable plate has stainless steel layers on the front and rear sides. A handle is formed on the top of the bendable plate. The stainless steel layers are formed on the bendable plate through thin plate attachment, powder adhesion or coating. A rubber ring(30) is positioned on the circumference of the bendable plate. The rear stainless steel layer contains chitosan. A user attaches the pressing plate to a Kimchi container(200) using the handle.
