The device has a clamping device (3) i.e. swiveling gripper (1), moved by a drive (22), and a conversion gear i.e. spindle gear (8), transferring a rotation movement into a linear adjusting movement for a parallely displaceable clamping jaws (3a, 3b). The gear is arranged on the moved clamping device, and a permanent drive connection e.g. pinion (14), is provided between another drive i.e. rotation angle controlled servo motor (21), and the gear. The clamping device performs a rotative movement around a rotation axis (19a), and the drive connection is guided by the rotation axis. |
