STARCH-BASED PAINT COMPOSITION

A starch-based coating composition is provided to improve workability owing to one-pack type and to reduce environmental pollution by lowering the total CO2 discharge amount of life cycle of the product. A starch-based coating composition uses the resin which comprises starch and/or a modified starch and a vinyl polymer combined to the starch and/or modified starch by graft polymerization, as a binder. The starch-based coating composition comprises further a biodegradable resin. The starch-based coating composition is dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent. The biodegradable resin is nitrocellulose and/or a modified cellulose.
