The joint has a thin-walled sealing device (2) for sealing a joint hollow space (3). The sealing device has a cover sheet (6) with a movement reserve (R), where the cover sheet is fastened to two structural members (4, 5) and covering the joint hollow space. The cover sheet is coated with fire protection layers (11-14) in the joint hollow space. The cover sheet extends over the joint hollow space, where the cover sheet is fastened on surfaces of the structural members that extend transverse to boundary surfaces (4a, 5a) of the structural members.
