A dumbbell for muscular strength allows a user to do exercise regardless of places by simply carrying the dumbbell and enables the people to use the dumbbell conveniently by allowing all people to do exercises suitable for them while varying holding methods of the dumbbell. A disk-shaped dumbbell comprises a disk-shaped holding member(2) having a plurality of holding grooves(1) formed thereon, and a disk-shaped weight(4) connected to the holding member by connection members(3). The connection members are formed on central portions of the holding member and weight in a state that the connection members are spaced from each other at predetermined intervals. The holding member has a plurality of magnets(8) installed on the surface thereof, and the weight has a thermometer(9) adhered to the surface thereof. An inserting hole(10) is formed between the connection members to insert the middle finger into the inserting hole. A middle finger-holding groove(11) is formed on an outer side of the inserting hole of the holding member side. A plurality of holding grooves are formed on left and right sides of the holding member centering around the middle finger-holding groove.
