A display device, a video signal compensation device, and a video signal compensation method are provided, which can diminish the system cost and achieve the high-speed processing of calculation. The display unit performs the video display by the provided video signal to the display panel. The video signal modifier performs the correction process according to the property of the display panel about the video signal supplied to the display unit and outputs corrected video signal value. The video signal modifier comprises the memory table part and correction operation part. The memory table parts(11R,11G,11B) have a plurality of reference tables corresponding to a plurality of representative input value. The operation result value of the division operation is memorized in each reference table in advance. The correction operation parts(10R,10G,10B) compute the corrected video signal value. |
