摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing efficiency by shortening overall processing time in video data format conversion processing. <P>SOLUTION: A server 1 generates schedule data about video data allocation according to the transcoding speed and transfer speed of each transcoding node 22 and transmits instructions of dividing and transferring the video data to a source node 21. The source node 21 divides the video data into segments and transfers the divided segments according to the instructions from the server 1. The transcoding node 22 sequentially transcodes the received segments, and when detecting image quality deterioration during processing one segment, the transcoding node 22 transmits prescribed notification to the server 1. The server 1 transmits an instruction to divide and transfer the image quality deterioration detection segment to the source node 21 and transmits an encoding parameter to be used to reencode the image quality deterioration detection segment to each transcoding node 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
