PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removal method for carbon monoxide which efficiently removes carbon monoxide contained in a hydrogen rich gas as impurities to very low concentrations. SOLUTION: Carbon monoxide of 95% or more contained in an exhaust gas of a carbon monoxide reformer is contacted with a carbon monoxide removal catalyst capable of being removed by methanation at any reaction temperature from 200 deg.C to 240 deg.C, and the exhaust gas of the carbon monoxide reformer or the exhaust gas of an alcohol reformer is contacted with a reaction which an oxidation agent adds. Then the carbon monoxide in the reformed gas is removed. |
