<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find the abnormality of an alternator for vehicle in early stage and informs it to a driver before such an event as deterioration of a battery or engine shutdown incident to lowering of power generation occurs. <P>SOLUTION: Output voltage of an alternator 103 is inputted from an analog terminal 207 and filtered by means of a processor 201 in a specified frequency band. Difference between the maximum value and minimum value of the filtered output voltage of the alternator is calculated and a decision is made that the alternator is abnormal if that difference is equal to or higher than a threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
