CORRELATION APPARATUS FOR ACQUIRING SYNCHRONIZATION IN A WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK

A correlation apparatus for acquiring synchronization in a wireless local area network is provided to reduce complexity of hardware by reducing an operating amount in comparison with a complicated complex operation. A real number/imaginary number extracting part(11) extracts at least one among a real number part and an imaginary number part of a complex receiving signal used in a wireless communication according to a wireless local area network standard. A correlation coefficient output part(13) outputs a real number part or an imaginary number part of a correlation coefficient for a correlation operation. A real number multiplying part(12) multiplies the real number part of the complex receiving signal by the imaginary number part of the correlation coefficient. The real number multiplying part multiplies the imaginary number part of the complex receiving signal by the real number part of the correlation coefficient. A real number integrating part(14) outputs a correlation value by adding an output value of the real number multiplying part as a multiple of a period of a complex sequence included in a short preamble defined by a wireless local area network standard.
