A baking pan 10 comprising a body of a polymeric material and which includes within the body between 2 and 15%wt of an electrically conductive material that is substantially evenly distributed through the body, the polymeric material of the baking pan 10 being capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 280C. The electrically conductive material may be silver, nickel, copper, aluminium, iron or carbon black. The polymeric material may be a liquid crystal polymer, polyphenylene sulfide or high grade polyester. The invention seeks to provide a polymeric material pan which can be detected by a metal detector if parts of the pan end up in the foodstuffs. |
