A compact band-notched ultra wide band antenna is provided to obtain a band blocking characteristic in a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) zone by using a band-notched ultra wide band characteristic for UWB(Ultra Wide Band) system. A compact band-notched ultra wide band antenna includes a substrate(11), a first horizontal part(21), a feeding part(20), an upper radiator(30), a lower radiator(50), a ground plane(60), and a line(40). The substrate is composed of a dielectric material. The first horizontal part is extended from one end to the other end of an upper surface of the substrate. The feeding part includes an inclined part having a gradually reducing width from one end to the other end of the first horizontal part. The upper radiator is formed apart from the feeding part on an upper surface of the substrate. The lower radiator is formed on a lower surface of the substrate in order to be connected with the upper radiator. The ground surface is formed apart from the lower radiator on a bottom surface of the substrate. The line is formed to connect the upper radiator with the feeding part.
