A tensioner for avoiding resonance is provided to form an oil leakage unit in the tensioner or a tensioner adapter, thereby preventing erroneous knock detection. A tensioner for avoiding resonance comprises a tensioner adapter(20) and an oil leakage unit. The tensioner adapter is used to mount the tensioner in a cylinder block. The oil leakage unit is formed in the tensioner or one lower end of the tensioner adapter. The oil leakage unit is a hole penetrating a lower end of the tensioner adapter. The diameter of the hole is 2 mm. The oil leakage unit is a step(24) formed in a contact part between the tensioner and the tensioner adapter. The depth of the step is 1.5 mm. The width of the step is 2 mm.
