WASTE BASKET FOR FOOD WASTE TREATERS

A waste basket for a food waste disposal apparatus is provided to prevent odor of the food waste from being released into the outside during the transportation of food waste and to externally beautify the waste basket at the same time. A waste basket(20) for a food waste disposal apparatus comprises a pair of covers(30) for covering an opened upper part of the waste basket. The covers have hinge shafts(31) formed on one end portions thereof. The waste basket has bearing parts(21) formed on upper edges thereof correspondingly to the hinge shafts to rotatably support the hinge shafts such that the covers open or close the waste basket. The covers further have clamping vanes(32) formed on width directional both ends thereof. The clamping vanes can be flexibly bendable toward the edge of the waste basket and have clamping holes(32a) formed in one side surfaces thereof. The waste basket has clamping protrusions(22) formed on the edge thereof correspondingly to the clamping vanes such that the clamping protrusions are inserted into the clamping holes.
