A system for providing a multi-homing service and a method thereof in generation network are provided to assign a service session ID according to the service request of the communications terminal and supply the multi-homing service. An ID/LOC(LOCator) mapper(106) allocates a service session ID according to a service request of a communications terminal. An ID/LOC mapping server(108) receives the service session ID from the ID/LOC mapper and stores the service session information. An application session manager(112) connects with an application session and supplies the requested service through a service providing server(114) to the communications terminal.
