摘要 <p>An automatic gain control apparatus of an upward signal in a wireless communication system of an orthogonal frequency division multiple access mode, and a method thereof are provided to control signal intensity by using an upward signal section and a downward signal section without violation of a protection time section of a transmission frame. A circulator(328) classifies a received upward signal from a downward signal. Low noise amplifiers(324,330,316) amplify the received upward signal. A first attenuating part(318) and a second attenuating part(322) control attenuation of the amplified upward signal. A RF signal separating part(315) outputs the upward signal to an optical module and a detecting part(312). A peak detecting part measures an intensity value of the upward signal. An A/D converting part converts the measured voltage value into a digital value. A FGPA(Field-Programmable Gate Array) (314) controls the first attenuating part and the second attenuating part based on an upward signal value.</p>
