A frequency tuning device and a method thereof for converting the frequency of the personal area network system are provided to convert the frequency of the personal network system when being tuned to the personal area network system. The communications unit receives the frequency signal which is busy from the personal area network. A frequency conversion unit(124) uses the frequency information of the public network and converts the received signal into the same signal as the frequency of the public network.
