A communication assistance apparatus for a person who has a handicap related to language is provided to enable a language-related handicapped person to communicate with another person through a prediction input application processor and a voice-synthesized application processor. A prediction input application processor(120) generates a syllable/word prediction candidate group from a syllable/word prediction database, and performs a process that designates an input sentence based on the prediction information indicated on a screen. A voice synthesis application processor(125) synthesizes sentences based on voice data, and the sentences are written in advance by using the prediction input application processor.
