A cell therapeutic composition for liver cirrhosis is provided to prevent the side effect caused by transplantation and generalize using an umbilical cord blood derived stem cell. A composition of agent for treating liver cirrhosis comprises an umbilical cord blood derived stem cell of CD34 negative, CD90 negative, CD45 positive, CD44 positive, CD31 positive, CD13 positive and CD166 positive. A method for producing the composition of agent for treating and improving the liver cirrhosis comprises: a step of adding anti-coagulant in umbilical cord blood within birth 24 hours; a step of diluting the umbilical cord blood with DMEM(low-glucose Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Media) and centrifuging to obtain mononuclear; and a step of culturing the mononuclear in low-glucose DMEM medium.
