PEN-TYPE ELECTRONIC DICTIONARY DEVICE AND METHOD THEREOF

A pen type electronic dictionary device and a method thereof are provided to search data inputted through various input modes and output the search result through various output modes, thereby enabling a user to conveniently use the electronic dictionary. An input unit(100) receives scanned image, voice or letters according to an input mode which is one of scanning mode, voice recognition mode and writing recognition mode. A search unit(110) searches a word recognized by the input unit in the electronic dictionary. An output unit(120) outputs the search result through an LCD display unit or a speaker outputting the voice converted by TTS(Text To Speech) mode.
