An automatic transmission for vehicle is provided to maintain efficiency of a manual transmission and convenience thereof by installing a plurality of frictional elements and transmission automation devices in a simple planetary gear set and a transmission device of a manual transmission. An automatic transmission for vehicle includes a first transmission unit and a second transmission unit. The first transmission unit forms an input path connected directly to a first input shaft, a first variable input path connected variably to the first input shaft, and a first intermediate output path in order to reduce rotational power or to output the rotational power. The second transmission unit transmits inputs to a second and third input shafts through a second and third variable input paths. The second transmission unit shifts the inputs to a first and second speeds through a first and second sleeves of a first synchronizer. The first and second speeds are outputted through a second intermediate path and a final output path. The second transmission unit shifts the inputs to a third and fourth speeds through a first and second sleeves of a second synchronizer. The third and fourth speeds are outputted through a third intermediate path and the final output path. The second transmission unit shifts the inputs to a reverse speed through a third synchronizer.
