METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CALIBRATING A CAMERA WITH RECTIFICATION HOMOGRAPHY OF IMAGED PARALLELOGRAM

A compensation method of a camera using homography of a parallelogram in an image is provided to compensate the camera with a small number of images on the parallelogram, thereby being usable for obtaining 3D information with the camera. 2D homographies(101) that change each parallelogram projected on two camera images into squares is obtained. The homographies are defined as correction homographies. A new camera having a changed virtual image from an original image by the correction homographies is defined as a correction camera. A new infinite homography between the two correction cameras is defined. An original infinite homography is obtained by using correlation among the new infinite homography, the correction homographies, and the original infinite homography. The cameras are corrected by using internal variables of the cameras.
